I'd like to code the Alpina displays in my G11 7 series but as mine is a diesel 740d version will the display be for the petrol engine if so it'll be odd to me the rev counter especially, not sure if anyone can confirm.

Easy enough to code back if you do not like it.

Sure, but I haven't bought the app or the connector yet, hence the question I'm not bothered about coding anything else.

Hopefully someone will know and post.

Almaretto coded my 530e for me and that included the alpina display. I definitely like the blue display.

A problem, I believe unique to the BMW hybrids, is that the display shows the miles remaining on the battery (gauge on the far right) but does not display the percentage of capacity remaining. My guess is that this is because Alpina doesn't make a hybrid so its software wasn't enabled for it.

If is nice, when driving in auto mode, to see the tachometer. The regular display on the 530e replaces that with a battery usage display.

I did. The battery gauge on the right does not show the amount of charge BUT it does show the "miles" remaining so I can estimate the amount of electrons left over.

I drive mostly in adaptive mode and the normal gauge that replaces the tach does not exist. Instead, even if the ICE is not being used, the Tach still shows.

On the other hand, the blue display matches up nicely with my interior colors.

I will be keeping it at least for a while but not sure about the long term. I do understand that since Alpina doesn't make/sell a phev there is no reason for it to display that info.

I am in the US and have a 2018 530i. I bought the veepeak and BimmerCode. I am $50 in and setting to Alpina or adding MPH to computer board did not work. Hope I am doing something wrong vs wasted $50? I just want to see MPH in my cluster in all modes not just Sport? I did see instrument cluster flash and reboot when I hit code. I don’t have 6WB on my build sheet.

I figured it out for MPH. 6WA supports “Additional digital speed in speedometer.”

What about the 2019 M550ix? I am waiting for my ODBC adapter to arrive. Thank you.

I don't believe that is a picture of a M5. If it was then the steering wheel would have red paddle shifters. I looks like a regular series 5 display. Am I missing something.

Only M5 "competition" have the red M1 and M2 buttons on the wheel. That's a very different beast in terms of $$$$$ to the standard 550M ( and the M5 compgoes like hot shit of a shovel )

I'm really happy that I chose the M550ix. It has the perfect balance of power and value without putting you into bankruptcy. Here are some performance statistics from the BMW USA website.

2019 M550ix: 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds
2019 M4 Comp: 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds
2019 M5: 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds

All beautiful cars. The M5 Compitition is 0.8 seconds faster true, but it's an expensive beast to live with, servicing and other items are so much more expensive. Having owned a G60 M5 and comparing the service and insurance costs to a non M BMW I chose the non M car anyway. Hence my G30 is a 540i. ( can't get the 550 in Aust, only the M5 competition for a extra $50ish k)

Don't believe that is correct. All F90 M5's had the sport wheel with M1 and M2 red paddles.

What about it?

G01, G012, G30 - all share same cluster if ordered Full Dynamic Display. There are some M550 with partial digital.
