Cheapest and easiest is coding or removing fuse to open both flaps full time in any mode. Low reasonable rumble and nice tones at fuller throttle. No droning, no warranty issues, easy lease car fix.

I have AC Schnitzer and while it sounds amazing in sport / sport+, there's some drone when in comfort / adaptive.

If I hadn't purchased this already I'd probably go for the Remus.

There are a couple vendors on the forums that sell both and will ship.

From listening to a ton of videos it looks like you can get really great sound by removing the resonators, and this is very inexpensive to do.

Thanks for the feedback. I like the coding option. Can do that fairly quickly and at no cost. Will also look into a Remus system and see how that goes. Thanks again.

Coding doesn't really improve the sound, it just makes it sound like you're in sport+ all the time. If you want more sound look up the resonator delete. Shouldn't cost more than $150-$300.

AC Schnitzer or Remus is going to be at least $2500 (if you get a good deal).

Hope this helps.

Sport+ with both exhaust flaps open IS an improvement in the sound. Clearly not as much as a $3K exhaust, but a pretty big difference when in other modes with the Sport+ sound full time.

My point was it doesn't actually change anything. If you're happy with the sound in sport then this will be good enough for you. I personally wanted more.

Resonator delete really opens it up. Quick and inexpensive.

People have been saying this for years, but it's not true. They're different manufacturers.

Remus even cut one open a few years ago to show that they're different.

Look it up.

They look alike because they're made to fit the same car. It's not true man. Google is your friend.

AC Schnitzer silencers are manufactured in the EU in Austria. All AC Schnitzer silencers are developed and produced by REMUS according to our specifications.

According to their specifications. That doesn't mean they're the same. You realize that manufacturers make things for other companies for whatever reason (lack of machinery etc) but that doesn't mean it's the same. For example, TSMC manufactures computer processors for Intel, AMD, and other companies with unique chipsets. That doesn't make them the same.

You can keep saying this but it doesn't make it true. I've had my car next to an M550i with Remus and it sounds different. Explain that?

I want to get the resonator delete, but i am worried about the car as its a lease

any ideas?
i would weld it back once its being returned, but i feel that bmw wont touch the car if there is an issue with the engine & they see straight pipes
Thoughts ....?

Is there anyone out there that sells a bolt in kit to replace the resonators with a straight pipe, so it can be easily as quickly be returned to stock appearance and sound?

Most muffler shops can replace the resonators with straight pipe. Easy to put back when it's time to return the lease.

Cat delete and cutouts before mufflers on stock exhaust will give you very decent sound. I have that on my car and it doesn’t drone but when you floor it, it turns a few heads 🤪

That a right statement.
We won't know if they are 100% exact specification or not.
BMW uses Bilstein for some of their shocks.
H&R or Eibach for the spring, etc.

Detail exact specifications, are only the 2 parties know about it.

We are as consumers won't know until we chop things open.

I sell both brands, and what I can tell you.
ACS uses different manufacturers depending on application.
For example, for F15/F16 X5/X6, they use SuperSprint.
G30 5 series and F90 M5, Remus made them.

Even BMW M Performance muffler, at some point, they have used Eisenmann, then recently used Akrapovic.

So far for the G30 M550iX, as you guys might have seen, I have sold the AC Schnitzer the most.

I think the main reason is, Remus doesn't have Black Tips. Only Stainless, Chrome, and Carbon Fiber.
While AC Schnitzer tips available in Chrome, Matte Black, and Carbon Fiber.
