bimmercode enet/lightning adaptor

Anybody experience connection issues with the ENET cable and lightning to Ethernet adaptor connecting to Bimmercode/Bimmerlink ? I’ve always had connection issues since I first purchased. I follow every same instruction, only to minimal luck. Now, I’m having no luck what so ever. I’m assuming the adaptor isn’t working correctly anymore. Under Ethernet settings on my iPhone, an IP address isn’t assigned, as expected, I can’t connect to bimmercode. Thinking of buying another (updated) lightning to Ethernet adapter before I purchase MHD adaptor, which I’ve read good things about

I think your phone needs to be on airplane mode and WiFi off for Bimmercode to work, even with enet cable.

I got a Bluetooth adapter and it works great. Got the one Bimmercode recommends.

I find the connection to the phone is very temperamental. The actual ENET cable is fine, but the adapter has to be held flush with the phone, otherwise it won't work.

I had a problem today where the usb-c connrction to my IP15 would work fine with BimmerCode, but BimmerLink couldn't recoqnize it. However, since your phone can't even get an ip address it sounds like it is cable related...
