This would be a really good thing to know. As far as I recall they said it weakens the side walls and therefore ability to stay run-flat for the 50 mph 150 miles limits. But tbh as long as it doesn't blow out I'm not hugely bothered about those limits (have tyre insurance for up to £300 a pop) and AA cover that will sort a mobile fitter etc if necessary...

I had a 'mis-hap' in my E92 last winter (slid sideways on sheet ice, hit the NSR wheel, buckled the wheel, knackered the bearing and bent the subframe - £3k repair!). Anyway, the only part not requiring replacement was the tyre (run flat Michelin), so I guess they are indeed reusable.

Incidentally, all work was completed at my normal dealer workshop so this must be in accordance with BMW guidelines.
