Lock button on key fob fault

Hi,
When I go to lock my car it doesn't always work, sometimes I have to press the lock button multiple times before the car finally decides to lock. I have tried it with both keys and it happens with both of them. It is only ever the lock button that it happens to. Unlock, boot open etc always work first time...
Has anyone else had this issue?
Thanks

In a word, no

Odd given it's on both and other buttons ok which suggest both batteries are presumably fine

If the batteries are low you would get a warning on the I drive anyway.

If it's repeatable might be worth running past your dealer next you are near.

About once a week, I test my remote at work. From the 5th floor, about 40 yards from my car, I unlock and then re-lock the car. First time, every time, until my battery starts to go.

Its certainly a strange one, but it doesn't do it all the time and you can guarantee if I go to a dealer to show them it will work fine!
Thanks for the replies.

Replace battery in key fob. Very easy to do yourself. I change mine every year

I had a similar issue. Eventually it stopped working at all.
Changing key battery doesn’t help.
I was really angry that I had to go to the dealer
but I tried one more thing which was disconnecting and connecting again the car battery. And it fixed it!

yeah, I have a similar issue too. sometimes have to hit the button multiple times. and other times the comfort access doesn't work and I have to use the fob. I probably should replace the battery for the hell of it. Can't hurt...

Because it was both keys and only the lock button I didn't think it could be the battery, but I will give it a go for the sake of a few quid and report back in a week or so.
If that fails, I will try disconnecting the car battery, thanks damianbl.
Cheers all
