Hi

Need to reset to original my software before coding?

Any way to update to new or return to default?

YOu do not have to reset. The opposite is true. If you have coded the car, and then the dealership updates the software, you will lose your coding.

Agree, no need to do any resetting in iDrive prior to coding.

Best practice is to backup any modules before coding. This way if you mess up, you can restore from backup.

Correct, but bmw does not update if the car is ok

They only ypfate software if the car have a problem

I dont have anyting,

Agree, i should backup before coding but now is late..

There is no other way?

When people talk about coding it will be to the ecus . The screen shot you have doesn't relate to the software that the many ecus are using. That version (collection) will be known as an istep level and as others have mentioned, the dealers will not update this unless bmw has stated there is a known issue or you are having some issues.

I had my car updated last year as bmw we're staying an issue known with the gear selector and the process took around 2 hours.

Again as others have said if you code your car and then have the istep level updated by your dealership you will lose any changes made.
