I was there with my M235i as well, although I never had the opportunity to get it out onto the track. Looked like fun!

It's amazing what you can fit into the boot :P

Well done on finding the footage, I was driving and in preparation, I watched Allan McNish lap from the Truth in 24..... as you can see, it made bugger all difference!! But I had marked the braking points on a circuit plan.... which the passenger made a very poor attempt at reading.

This was the first time I had driven the M235i, as it was a loan car borrowed by the passenger and he drove it to Le Mans.... but his driving is worse than mine & I had the ACO paperwork!!

Yes, fair call.... we were never keeping up with the 458! That said, we were able to keep up with it under braking... and overtook a few nice cars, including the same 458 at 11:43. The brakes were impressive @ 3:30 we were doing an indicated 160mph and I braked at the 200m board!!

The camera was hand held & is very sketchy.... my plonker co-driver even failed to catch the overtake out of Arnage @ 6:11

Until 2:50 we were on an out lap and were told not to overtake, also there were a few waved yellows (which most drivers ignored). The majority of drivers seemed to be taking the "parade laps" very seriously, most had Sparco Race Boots on and the driver of the 599 (@16:44) was wearing a race suit and what looked like Nomex!

Anyway, the M235i was a great car - thoroughly enjoyed it and fully recommended
