6NS coded?

Can the 6NS (Enhanced USB and Bluetooth plus Smartphone Integration) feature be coded in after delivery?

Great to know. The $500 might actually be tolerable if that included the snap in adapter that they will charge an additional $250 to $300 for. Its insane you don't get the adapter for that cost so I am happy to leave that box UNCHECKED!

I ordered my car without it and it still seemed like there were two microphones in the headliner on both sides of the car. Not sure what it could have been if not a microphone. Forgot to take a pic though, just to be sure.

Thanks. I think I can live without the $500 second microphone as long as everything else can be coded in, we're golden.

It is possible that there actually isn't a mic behind the mic cover, or if there is a mic it might not be connected, or it is also possible that there are still 2 mics if you don't order 6NS. Do you think you could verify the second mic's existence and connection? Thanks.

Sure. You will have to wait as agonizingly as I do for it to get back to California now, though

I did see a line of code that could be changed to indicate how microphones were installed in the hu_nbt ... It's possible to install the 2nd mic and code it on ... Couldn't tell you the cost to do it though

Hum, I will look into that when my car is here. Would be nice to be able to add and enable the second mic without ordering 6NS.

so 6NS is supposed to include a 2nd mic in addition to the adapter in the center console... unless you're getting a vert, and then there is no 2nd mic. I just canceled the option from my order sheet - I'd rather have the space in the center console (b/c I'd never use an adapter).

Anyone near NC comfortable with coding?

What's the need for the 2nd microphone? I coded this in a few months back and everything works like a charm.

Some newer vehicles come with 2nd microphone without needing 6NS option. Without cradle, you also get more room in center storage. 2nd mic offers better sound pickup with less distortion.

MY2017 was ordered with 6NH and it came with the 2nd mic. It was an easy coding upgrade to change it to 6NS to get office and the other features.
