Can't remove AC vents trim. Helppp

So I started cf wrapping my interior. My car is jet black tan interior with wood trim. So I piano black wrapped door trims and cf all others but can't get the trim at dash out. It comes off easily on center of car but won't budge at outer edges. I read a DIY thread but it says use force!! I'm afraid it will snap. I'm i missing something here so pics of progress this far.

FWIW & IIRC, the large trim piece to the right of the steering wheel is a large chunk of metal, not plastic.

Thanks but that doesn't answer my question. Does it come straight out?

It did for me - you'll want to pry all the way on the right, too. Getting the vents off is usually the tricky part.

If yours is metal as well, it won't easily snap. You can probably tell if it is by reaching in behind the side that you've already managed to pry away from the dash.

I was able to get it out from the left side closest to the steering wheel. And the. Use a pry tool across to the right.

Get these and you'll have the trim out effortlessly in a minute: http://www.harborfreight.com/5-piece...set-67021.html

They're the exact same tools that the vendors charge $25 for and you can just get them at your local Harbor Freight. Mine have been great.
