E92 M3 - Option 761 Individual Sun Protection Glazing - Side and rear glass only?

Hi,

Can anyone enlighten me on if this option included what I believe to be called "climate comfort windscreen", or is it just the tinting of the side quarters and rear glass?

Reason I am asking is I have a Valentine1 Radar detector and I know these don't work well through climate comfort windscreens. I have ask my dealer and they don't even know so before I ask higher up the chain I thought I'd ask you knowledgeable folk first.

So question summarized is "will internal radar detector be affected by option 761 Individual Sun Protection Glazing" or does it only affect the rear and side quarter glass.

Cheers
D

Hmmm...those are not part of the "windscreen". I'd double check that, Dazzler. On Mercedes models with metallic coated windshields there are two rectangles left uncoated for radar detector and toll pass.

BMW does not offer this option on the 3-series in the US. Rear and side quarter tinting is standard in the US, I believe.
