Bluetooth Phone Connection
I have an iPhone 5s and when I automatically connect to my 2014 BMW 328d bluetooth it takes about 5 to 10 seconds. Is there a way to speed that up? If I am on the phone entering the car, it can be annoying when I lose the conversation for about 10 seconds. Other bluetooth systems seem to connect instantly. Thanks for the help!

My 5s takes a similar amount of time to connect, but in the meantime i can still continue the conversation on the phone. Are you saying when you turn the car on the call cuts out completely for the 10 secs?

Yes - the call does cut out or go silent for about 10 seconds. When it connects caller is still there. Quite annoying. Thanks for responding.

My brother has the same issue, I think it's just something that's the standard. I'll be keeping my eye on this post to see if someone has a solution.
Sorry I couldn't have the answer but know you're not alone. |

Just checked this issue in my 2013 328i. My phone is a iPhone 5S and when entering the car during an ongoing call, it takes only 2-3 secs before the sound is transferred to the car HF. The very first time when unlocking the car and so on, it could take some 5-8 secs before the system is started up.
