Hey guys, I have a 435i M-sport/premium/etc. but no navigation. My voice command button isn't working. I did a search and found that some people back in 2012 said that F30s without Nav didn't get the voice command feature.. But I have the button on my steering wheel, so I am assuming I would have it (not to mention the fact that any car over $30,000 should have it). I contacted my dealership and they also said I should have it, and scheduled me for an apt. Can anyone confirm whether or not non-nav equipped 435i's should have voice command?

Thanks, but I don't want to improve my functionality (yet), I just want to know if the non-nav equipped 435i comes with voice command for the bluetooth.

Voice Control feature is in there but just not activated by factory.

Why is it like that? Only BMW knows.

What BimmerTech was asking was actually if you want it enabled or not by them.

Yeah, I have this too. Voice command button that doesn't work. Genius how they punish people for not getting certain packages. Why not make it a dead button if it doesn't work? How about giving me some heated seat buttons that don't work either? Retarded. I'm going to get some coding done next month and hope to resolve some of these annoyances.

That is absolutely nasty... I remember Chevrolet/Ford/Dodge would do shxt like this on their cheaper cars, i.e. the old base Pontiac Sunfire, but didn't think BMW would be so ghetto. Every button in my e92 was there for a reason. Can we get this coded to work or is there nothing connected to it? When I ordered my 435 I saw the voice button on the steering wheel and of course thought it would work.

BimmerTech seems to have a solution, but I'm just too afraid at this point to mess with my warranty with non-BMW software. Still think it's shixxy that BMW put a dead button in a $60,000 car. I always used the voice command in my 328 and thought of it as a safety feature as I didn't have to take my eyes off the road to make a call. BMW should update their configurator with a big red clickable X over the little voice command button, stating that people who don't order NAV will not get this feature.
