Question about tracking M4

While out driving today in my VW sportwagon tdi I happened to touch the brake while my foot was still on the gas pedal and it killed all throttle impute to the car. Then I remembered because of all of the hung throttle incidents that all new cars sold in the U.S. were going to have this throttle kill feature when you pushed the brake pedal.

So here's the question, I have a DCT M4 on order and plan on tracking it, i also plan on two foot driving the car. Will applying the brake pedal kill all throttle impute on a DCT car?

Thank You for the responses.

Not the case on the E9X or F10, so you should be fine on the F8X.

I think that "feature" is for GM suicide booths.

I believe this is or becoming a Federal requirement. Most cars I have driven have this feature, including Porsche since 2005. I certainly do not know how BMW does it, but if it is there It can be programed out through the ECU, may be COBB or some other would look into it.

Does that mean that you cannot "heel & toe" this car? Is that why the auto-rev was added even on the MT?

Even with such 'feature' you can heel/toe, the system does recognize that the clutch is depressed and allows for throttle blips.

My '00 VW Jetta VR6 also had that stupid feature where the throttle automatically dissengaged if the brakes were applied. But it did not prevent it from doing proper heel-and-toe.

My '02 E46 M3 and '08 E92 M3 did not have this feature though, I certianly hope the F8X is the same.

With all the reviews from the track (Portmão, Road America, Spa, Nordschelife, etc...) don't you think somebody would have mentioned this at some point???

The F10 I drove in Germany did have this "feature".
