Help w/ Pandora
2014XI with Nav/I-drive. I stream music from Pandora and from the 1600 songs on my phones internal storage. The songs on my phone work perfectly and the the info (artist, song title) shows up on my I-drive screen and I can control previous and next track with the I-drive controller. When I use Pandora it streams flawlessly and I can control next track, however all that shows on the I-drive screen is "UNKNOWN ARTIST". Any ideas as to why and how to correct the problem?
Thanks in advance |

Well, one piece of advice would be to stop focusing on trivial crap like this...if it plays the music, who cares what's on the screen?

Agreed, not helpful at all.
OP, are you using the Pandora iDrive application? Or the Bluetooth streaming? Most cars have an issue bluetooth streaming Pandora and maintaining the Artist/Song information because they try to see what the 'song list' is on the phone or what library it is playing from, just so it knows what song is playing next. But since Pandora is a Internet Radio Streaming service, you never know what song plays next so usually iDrive (Audi as well, out of experience) will have trouble displaying the track info. Your music will play but don't expect it to show or retain song information during Internet Streaming over bluetooth. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it glitches. Try restarting the phone and re-pairing with iDrive. My suggestion is to use the Pandora app and plug your phone in via USB and open the Pandora application within iDrive, if your car is equipped with BMW apps. That will give you to option to skip tracks, rate songs, and change stations.

YMMV, but I've been using the Pandora apk from this link (if you have android) - http://www.9thgencivic.com/forum/aud...formation.html
It shows track info perfectly. Still trying to get Tasker working properly so that it auto starts playing pandora when the phone detects the car bluetooth... |
