Add some more bass...

I have Harmon kardon, but I want a lil more low end. What are my options. Maybe a 10" in the trunk. What's a good setup? Don't need anything too loud, looking more for clarity.

Check out bavsound them make awesome speakers and such fitted for your BMW model, I checked last month and they did not have the subs out yet for the hk system but if they don't know it should be very soon, these subs will give you more base but also keep it clear and since it replaced the underwear subs no need to waste room I'm the car!

2 Kicker 12" subs and a Kicker - CX Series 1200W Class D Mono Amplifier with Variable Low-Pass Crossover.
I have the extra bass controller mounted under the emergency brake.

Has anyone considered just replacing the under seat subs for a cleaner look.

Obviously won't be crazy kick but maybe good enough to do the trick?

Did the e46 HK system have this issue?

I'm still planning to change out all the speakers. Already have a set of Diamond Audio s400 separates. Thinking of either using those up front with the Jehnert underseat woofers and stock amps, but will go so far as getting the full flatline setup and adding some small D class amps with hi level inputs.

Crutchfield is near useless to find speakers that fit on new vehicles. Other than the Focal ISC 100s, does anyone have links to other speakers / subwoofers that fit OEM style?

Like a host of other owners, the HK didn't seem to be a value to me, so aftermarket it is. I'm also looking for the mirror speaker plastic pieces that the HK would fit into so I can move up the components.

I just installed JL Audio C2-400x in the rear myself. They were perfect drop ins.

Just clip, strip, tie together, tape or solder, and drop it in.

I'm getting the side panels installed with JL Audio C2-400x as well by a professional next week after confirming that they're the same hole size. Just the window panel will hit so they need spacers.
