iOS App Prompt with Bluetooth
I took delivery of a 2014 435i Coupe over the weekend. When I paired my phone, it (the phone) prompted me to install an app. At the time I chose not now and I have not seen the prompt since. Anyone know what app this is? Is it connected drive? I have all of the packages on my car.

Have you installed Bmw Connected and My BMW Remote? Those are the only two BMW apps that you need. You don't need either to use BT for phone calls or playing music that is stored on your device.

I reset the network connections on my phone and uninstalled the Connected and My Remote app to see if it would prompt me at a new pairing, but no luck.

I grabbed a few phones from others in my family to test and sure enough I received the prompt the first time they were added in my car, but not again at any point.
Each time, the app store either went to a blank white screen or crashed with a null error. I'm sure this is likely just a prompt for the Connected app, but it's interesting that the prompt is appearing on bluetooth. As far as I know, the Connected app only works with a USB cable or the snap-in adapter. The prompt text is below: The accessory "BMW NBT" uses an app you do not have installed. Would you like to get it from the App Store?
