LA: Anyone ever purchased bumpers from this shop?

Hey I stumbled across this posting on craigslist. They have a really unbelievable prices for painted mtech/m3 bumpers. I was wondering if anyone has ever been to these guys. I am thinking of purchasing a painted front mtech bumper for 380. They also charge 100 for installation to guarantee fitment. I also asked them what kind of paint they use and they said Matrix paint. Any ideas how good that paint? I was wondering if anyone has ever purchased a bumper from this shop? http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv...582103948.html
Thanks

480 for an Msport painted and installed is a damn good deal so good that I would be questioning the quality of the bumper, the fitment, and the paint. OEM is like well over 1k and I got my rep. Msport bumper for 650 painted and installed at LT and even they weren't spot on perfect.

Sounds a bit too good to be true.

Why don't you be our guinea pig and find out?

I did research a while ago regarding this specific seller. From what I read the quality and fitment of the bumper were good. However, the paint quality was mediocre and it was recommended that you get it painted somewhere else. That being said most of the people who got it painted with the seller last it only about a year before the paint started peeling. Again, this is what I found when I did research on this and did not experience this personally. You can try it for your self if you want. Just letting you know what I found.

Hmmm whatever happened to him? Did the shop stand up to their product and repaint it for him?

As far as I knew it's just a guy who sells the parts and outsources the paint jobs to another guy. I believe he rents a shop, not sure. This was a while ago so things might have changed but its not like this guy has a full shop and offers warranty.

Spoke with this guy. Robert right? I heard about the paint as well. I wouldn't worry about the bumper as I confirmed it is PP and he guarantees fitment because it is the same place everyone gets it from even the big shops like LT and JGmods. It's just the paint that worries me. I haven't seen the finished paint in person and like someone said, it most likely will be paint matched but how long will it last is the question.

And he does look like he does this on the side and have a guy who paints it for cheap. My worry is that, he doesn't have a shop and I have to put a down which makes sense. But what if I can't find him later? PM me so maybe you and I can check out this guy's product or at least meet him in person. I live in the Torrance area.

Alright staplescenter, Im down with it once my fat check comes in. I'm around the LB area so we aren't far. I've been keeping in contact with this guy. He seems to keep saying he works on a lot of expensive cars and such.

Regardless of the paint quality it's still an amazing deal. Maybe you can request a better paint shop for a slight increase of costs? Nice find.

I picked up a m3 rep and CF boot from this guy.
m3 rep = 95/100 for fitment
CF boot = 80/100 for fitment (which is what I expected)
As far paint quality, Ive seen some of his stuff up close and it's not bad.
It you aren't planning to do show comps you're g2g
