Connecteddrive question

228 no prem or tech package

I have BMW Online as a option. But when I select it it looks like it's trying to connect, but after about 30 seconds it says service not available, try again later. Any ideas ?

connected drive is not available if you have no nav!!!

Ok, that's fine. But then my idrive should not be telling me it is available on my car , which it does

I've tried to understand what ConnectedDrive comprises. If you decode the VIN then its product S6AKA. If you look at http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/con...formation.html
then it says you need ConnectedDrive Services (6AK) and Intelligent Emergency Call (6AC) and these drive the automatic installation of TeleServices (6AE) including a permanently installed SIM card.

Have you tried registering at bmw-connecteddrive.com . Registration is linked to the VIN so if the car has it you can register AND you then have to login on your vehicle to enable the services

Seems like the UK has better support with Connected drive.
I looked up comparability for the US and iphone 5s and it says that the office functions don't work

There is a red X by all of the features

Office - Accessing e-mail, SMS, calendar and tasks.
Email display
Sending emails
Sending emails with voice memo
SMS display
Sending SMS
Calendar
Tasks
Notes

But I did buy a car...not a computer

Same here....I would love to be able to have access to reply as well as Real Time traffic however I don't have 6AK.
