// FIRST Akrapovic M4 exhaust in the US installed (pics and videos inside!) / TAG MS

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com

It’s here!

With the recent launch of the new F80 & F82 M3/M4 to the BMW M Series line, our friends over at Akrapovic have wasted no time creating another work of art for these work horses. We are proud to announce that the new Akrapovic Slip-On exhaust for the M3/M4 is available for purchase now and we have the very first system in the US installed our our TAG Motorsports Project M4. To follow that build thread - CLICK HERE.

Made from titanium—with some parts cast in Akrapovic’s own foundry—it has bigger pipes than the stock exhaust, yielding lower back pressure and more power, especially at lower RPMs. This system is a completely new design, and it will reduce overall vehicle weight and deliver extra power and a sporty sound, which has been tailored to highlight lower frequencies and increase the listening enjoyment. Increases in both power and torque add to the sensory experience, combined with improved agility.

Additionally, the look of the Slip-On system can also be further enhanced by adding titanium or carbon- tailpipes and the stunning carbon- rear diffuser. The exhaust arrived on Monday 8/11/14 in the Akrapovic team in the US. We then had the exhaust installed the next day at the TAG facility in Vista, CA.

As most of you know, you may purchase the Akrapovic system in a few different configurations. The Slip-On Rear Section, and the Evolution Link Pipe (Center Section.) We elected for both the Slip-On Rear Section, as well as the Link Pipe, but we opted to keep our factory downpipes. Additionally, we were sent the new Akrapovic Carbon Diffusor match the new Carbon Rear Tips!

Here are some specific specs on the new system:

Overall, the system is everything you would want and then some.

For anyone in the Southern California Area, you are more than welcome to come look/hear the system at our facility in North County San Diego, CA.

Lastly, onto the pics! Thanks to Grubbs Photography for working his magic and capturing the full install of the new system.

Gorgeous components, but can't justify that kind of price. Wish I could.

Amazing workmanship and design. Expensive and not for everyone's budget, shame to put that under a car. Sound recording seems distorted.

Please post a before and after pic of the car on the ground to see how much more tucked if any the Akra is over stock.

We'll get a pic up soon showing the difference. Also as for the sound , there will be more videos to come. This was an initial teaser. We have a lot of video that's been taken and more to do. Stay tuned!

Thanks again to you and Alex@tagmotorsports for letting me swing by today and check out the car in person. It is SOOOOO good compared to the videos. Yet again, without proper recording equipment or being there in person, it just doesn't do it justice. This thing sound great! Extra shoutout to Alex@tagmotorsports for the ride as well Great guy!

Yah that is sexy. Correct me if I'm wrong, this particular system retains the OEM cats?
