Custom license plate carbon fiber

Got my new license plates all sorted out. Ordered them in April, bought the car in July and my permanent plates came Friday so I could swap them out for the custom ones today.

Hopefully the cops won't give me a hard time about the modification. It is all vinyl lettering, and clear label maker writing. The black line used for the box is also vinyl. It was called art tape at OfficeMax.

Nice!

Just curious - are you going to put the front plate on or are you going to gamble and leave it off?

Definitely leave it off. I'm in Clovis, CA. Not la or SF. Those cities are a lot more strict than around here.

Local cops usually only pull you over for that when they want to check you for a DUI or something else. which isn't a problem I have.

Good for you. Meanwhile, most of my favorite personalized plate ideas for my i3 (taking delivery tomorrow!!) require 8 characters instead of the legal maximum of 7. I'm contemplating going your route and sort of manufacturing my own plates. Maybe I'll see you in San Quentin when we get busted
