Aftermarket Exhaust Fitment Issue

My 328d is in the shop trying to have an AC Schnitzer exhaust placed, but the fitment isn't right because of the black container on the right side of the picture...does anyone know what that is?

Thanks!

One of the DEF tanks. One is on either side under the trunk.
You need an exhaust for a diesel, not a gasoline-engined car.

Thanks...just trying to alter the appearance from behind. I like the look of quad pipes (2 per side) instead of the 1.

Did you tell the AC Schnitzer distributor that you had a 328d? If so, they f**ked up.

Yup...they didn't do their homework. I assume that I'll have to get something custom done, because I don't see how something with a muffler (even like the SuperSprint here) would fit given the clearance issues under there.

On a positive note, the Aero pieces and Performance Kit fit/look nicely and feel great, respectively.
