How critical is doing break-in service exactly at 1200 miles?

I'm currently on 870 miles and I made an appointment with the SA for the 1200mi service next Friday (over a week later). I worry that I might pass 1200 miles by then. Is it OK to do it after the recommended mileage? Thanks in advance!

Don't worry, anything within a few hundred miles (300 max, to be safe) miles over is considered normal and won't affect your car or warranty.

I was at 1482 at the end of my ED trip. They'll perform the service once it arrives back at the dealership. They told me beforehand that it could be done as early as 1000 miles, too.

I think as long as you respect the break-in guidelines before the service is done, it should be OK.

Maximum Mileage for first service?

Does anybody know the maximum mileage for the first service? I have a road trip planned that might take me to 1,600. My dealer says 1,500 is okay.
Is there an official BMW policy on this?

Due to upcoming trip, I am not going to be able to get RIS until 1600-1700 miles.
I don't think this will be big issue. Just don't drive car crazy till then.
