IND or Turner Painted Rear/Front Reflectors?

My F80 is on order and I want to get my front and side painted reflectors delivered before my car arrives.

Its my understanding that BMW does not make Front/Rear paint matched reflectors, correct?

Should I go with IND, Turner or another company for the parts? Any feedback would be helpful.

Thanks!

I don't know, but I've seen some pics of SS cars that the reflectors did not match at all. I'd find them and definitely NOT use whoever sold them. My BSM reflectors from IND match perfectly FWIW but SS is a completely different animal.

IND all the way, if it's not right they'll fix it no questions asked. Customer service is priceless with these guys.

Thanks for the recommendation. Is the install process easy?

Very easy, I have the cameras in my front bumper so opted to take the wheel off and remove the inner fender completely. That process took longer than the actual install.

How long did that take? Any DIY videos showing your process?

There's a DIY section with video. You don't need to remove the wheel. We did mine without taking the wheel off and I have the cameras also.

iND hands down. I was in complete shock from how PERFECTLY matched my reflectors were, the PROMPT shipping, the UPDATED email with tracking number and how NICELY everything was packed. I got a free microfiber out of it

Does anyone know if removing the front/back reflectors are DOT approved? Could a Cop ever give me a fix it ticket for it?

And in the unlikely and rare event you got rear ended because your battery died and you had no lights, could the other party in the accident try and claim negligence?

These were some random thoughts on my mind, I know they sound a bit paranoid but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Removing federally-required safety devices is not approved, but there is virtually no chance a local cop is going to be cognizant of it or write you up. Of course anything is possible in the unlikely event you describe, but you are far more likely to be culpable for other driving situations.
