First svc @ 1500 miles. All they did was...

Oil change and filter 7 quarts 5w30
2 quarts differential oil

I asked what the drain plug looked like bit the svc manager could not tell me.

So I spun the wheels right the F out of the dealership and said to myself....

AMF!!!

Racecars don't have 3rd pedals anymore. That's like 15 years ago.

Agreed. This car should be driven like Chris Harris in his review. It's meant to be driven hard.

Couldn't agree more. Now that I've actually driven an M4 with MT and DCT, it's not even a question for me that I'd go 6MT.

The question is whether I go F80 or E92 + M2

It does milk runs very well, and I do agree on your statement with the driving hard, the thing I objected to was a slight note of not respecting the car I was getting. Sorry if I was wrong.

I love my manual version. I feel alive again behind the wheel, and I get to do stupid shit on my milk runs. Get all three.

+1 buddy!! 6MT is the only way to go. I am a techie so I want technology to do as much for me as possible, shifting ain't one of them. You want to feel the control, make that decision to hang longer in second or shift sooner to safe some gas. I don't want the auto to "learn" my pattern while I break in my car and then shift like a granny when I want performance. My hands are already busy enough on the wheel with all them buttons, I don't need 2 more paddles.

Your post is not very clear...

But if your car is a 6MT, they should also replace the tranny fluid.

Further, the drain plugs are supposed to be one time use only since they have the gasket integrated. They should have replaced the 2 drain plugs.

Hahaha that would look awesome. Imagine opening the garage and opening and the garage and seeing 3 pairs of quad pipes pointing at you

Btw, I didn't think I was going to enjoy the rev match feature, but I thought it was really neat. I did however forget about it, and going for a downshift, it revved for me, and I gave it even more revs just out of habit

Why would the service manager know what the drain plug looks like on an M4? He's the service manager, probably hasn't done oil changes in a few years, and certainly not on an M4. Don't see that this proves anything or why this should matter.

You get Launch Control by them simply reseting the service. They don't "do" anything to activate it.

dude....your inane response is just what is wrong with all forums. totally non- contributory and a waste of the second it took for me to read it

it doesn't matter who saw the plug; I wanted a report as to what amount of filings, if any were on the magnet.

Given the amount of grinding coming out of the diff; I am/was curious...

There was never any intonation indicating a need to "prove anything"

and as an FYI, my Porsche svc manager always has his eyes on each car and the results of any intervention in order to give a full report to the clients.

clearly, you're the type of "carguy" that needs to just know where the gas goes. (DTC in yours, right?)

Yes, I don't recommend exchanging fluids with any tranny.
