Retrofit front pillar speakers

Is it possible to retrofit speakers into the front pillars similar to the HK audio option?

Yes. Several vendors offer them. Focal is one manufacturer.

Might just need to order the H/K sail panel trim piece, since non-HK cars have no sail panel piece for a tweeter.

I did it on my 1 series. The Focals came with their own covers. The installer just cut out the pillar cover to fit the speakers.

I had asked about this and the one other person I saw who did this said that the car was pre-wired, so no need to route anything to the sail panel.

Looking into this as well. Does anyone have the HK parts number for the sails? I would prefer it to look OEM when I upgrade.

Have not bought them myself (yet), but for a more OEM appearance, I plan on getting these and putting Focal or Jehnert components in them.
