carbon fiber or gloss black accessories?

just guy my AW M3 .. i love it! time to start tweaking it, right? well i'm a little bit torn an what to do as far as trim pieces. we have a CF roof (and interior trim in my case) and the option for several more CF trim pieces on the exterior (i'm talking about front diffusers/lip, rear trunk lip, rear diffuser, side mirrors…

my concern is … is this TOO much weave? since the grille surrounds and side blades are gloss black, how about gloss black for mirrors caps, trunk, rear diffuser?

i know i saw a guy who had a painted rear diffuser and another with a spoiler that just had the top painted and underside was still exposed CF ...

anyone else mixing & matching CF with painted stuff? kind of a minor point here, but interested to see how it's turning out if people are doing it.

Thanks in advance!

You can never have too much weave.

I was wondering if they will come out with CF accents; front grill, sidemarkers, side grill, etc... but I'm too impatient and ordered gloss black. Maybe I'll switch it up if they ever come out with CF.

stick with gloss black. and no mirror caps. just my opinion / taste. CF accessories start to look overdone and kind of chintzy.

yeah I agree but I'm not sure if cf diffuser would look okay with a black spoiler ... I think gloss black still looks good ..

it's definitely another one of those preference things but it's hard to tell what looks good in photos sometimes.

thanks for the input guys

I had a mix of color matched, gloss black, and carbon bits on my space gray M3. I think some parts make sense carbon and some in gloss black. I agree that too much exterior CF gets to be a bit too much. I already have gloss black front grill and side marker. I'll probably do CF in a rear spoiler, mirror caps and diffuser.

Too much CF = When every panel is made of CF. Until you reach that point...moar CF.

I have a BSM M4. I want the color matched trunk lip, but right now I am settling for the CF trunk lip. No more CF for me. Of course, I did without a CF roof, IOT get a moonroof and functional roof racks, so I might be biased.
