Getting ECU cover back on
Gents,
Installed a JB4 this morning. Pretty straight forward. But I had a lot of trouble getting the ECU cover back on, specifically the rear sliding clip (on the firewall). I just couldn't get the sliding clip to lock into the bottom section. It tried to tuck in all the wires so the lid would squash down. Any advice? |

Make sure slider is all the way unlocked, and I lock the slide closer to the firewall first.

Dan Villa, Yes i see how the usb wire can fit on the grommet, however the fitment iisue is on the firewall side of the cover not where the grommet is.
bornadog335i, Thanks for the video link - yes i have watched that. _ink, My slider on firewall-side kept falling off as i was putting it on (if kept in unlocked position). I had no fitment issues anywhere else, just at that rear slider. I'll have to have another look some other time. I've closed it all up for now, just hope i don't drive through torrential rain till i can get it sealed properly. |
