PE Exhaust install
Got my VANOS bolts done today... I recently bought the BMW PE (2011 e92 335xi) and figured I would have them install it while the car was at the dealer already...
Well they just called and quoted me 3 hours of labor and ~$400 to install it... Am I crazy or is that a ridiculous amount of time and money to install mufflers... EVEN if it did involve cutting things... |

Just take it to an indy shop. It should be an easy install for them to do.

Keep in mind you have to cut off your old mufflers and bolt up the PE ones (there is no bolted connection you can just undo). There is also a good deal of "fiddling" you need to do to get it all aligned properly.
Not saying the dealer quote is cheap but the hours they quote seem not outside the realm of reason for a perfect fitment.

I do not think there is anything that can even give you a cel. Simply put the rear on ramps, cut the mufflers in two places, and undo 4 bolts. Only thing is the bolts are that torx socket so make sure you have that before you start. Then just reverse the process. Main thing is take your time marking and cutting the pipes.
