N55 and e85

Hey all,

I'll be installing Flex Fuel wires this week. My car is a 2011 335i xDrive sedan, JB4 stage 2 (non ISO), VRSF downpipe and BMS intake. Should I use map 5? How much e85 should I mix in? Also, is it a good idea to upgrade to ISO, why?
I appreciate any info you can chime in.

I would upgrade to ISO. Much smoother (more smooth?) power delivery, you'll be really happy. I run about 6 gallons of E85 and 10 gallons of 93. Could I do more? Probably but that's what I've become comfortable with.

Yes, use map 5. Make sure after you fill up with the E85 and you drive a bit to get the new mix into the system and then reset Map 5 (switch to map two and get out of the JB4 dash controls then go right back in and reselect map 5) then do 3 hard pulls in 3rd gear to get the map adapted to the new octane.

You should notice a pretty good increase in power. Enjoy!

Yeah you should definitely run 40% e85 60% 91/93. When I first started using e85 I really felt the car pull harder and sometimes it would backfire which sounds sick lol. I have had e85 in my tank since I got the JB4, im addicted to it lol

I run about 4 gallons of E85 and the rest 93 octane. And yes, its very addicting and leads to terrible gas mileage but awesome gains.

Thanks for the replies!
Here's another question:

What should I do when running out of e85+93 and there's none available?
Change maps/reset map5 when refueling with 93 only?

Yes, every time you change the mix reset the map so it can optimize your boost targets
