Intake Noob Question

With all the cars I've owned I've never really messed with the intake. I've heard mixed answers and I was just wondering If i were to install an intake would I have to go get a tune? Or is a tune not needed?

No tune needed but will get a better result with a tune . Many threads here discuss it

Definitely not needed.. But a tune with intake is more enjoyable

I have oem airbox with afe dry drop in and ram air scoop.

Discrete but sorts out the intake side whilst sport cat DP and MPE sorts the outlet side. Jb4 stg2 sorts out the bit in between !!!
