CCC Europe Business 2014 update question

I asked this question in the iDrive forum, but didn't get a response, so thought I'd try here instead...

Quote:
I've downloaded the ISOs for the above update for my car- many thanks to the uploaders!

The download contained two ISOs which relate to the two discs which cover different parts of Europe.

I have burned the smaller file for DVD2 at 3.7gb to a DVD-R and it works on my CCC system with no problems at all.

Unfortunately, the three countries which I really need the maps for- UK, France & Belgium- are on DVD1. The ISO for DVD1 is 5.99gb and too big to fit on a normal DVD- am I missing something here? Do I need to burn to a dual layer DVD? I was thinking not, given that my Sat Nav system is from 2008 and technology from even earlier and probably not able to read them anyway?

I have a funny feeling that I'm missing something really simple here- any advice greatly appreciated
Can anyone help?

Put them both on a suitably sized thumb drive and upload from the Glove Box USB

No can do unfortunately, don't have a USB connection in the car and as it's CCC, it will only read off what is on the DVD in the drive at any given time.

Sorry, should've noticed the CCC, but I think you'll need the Dual Layer disk, it's the only way you'll get that much data on a single DVD

Hi,

You should download the 2015 maps for the CCC from this thread:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=995629

Click on the link that says Europe Professional 2015 which points to the torrent link that you can download with something like utorrent client software:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/r1...l_2015.torrent

This will allow you to download the 3 DVD set for the CCC which includes:

DVD1_West Europe 3.55GB iso
DVD2_Central Europe 3.13GB iso
DVD3_Eastern Europe 2.73GB iso

each of these burn to a standard DVD.

Here is what each DVD covers:

DVD1, Western Europe
COVERS: Andorra, Belgium, France, Gibraltar, UK, Ireland,
Luxemburg, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal (incl. Madeira),
Spain (incl. Canary Isles)

DVD2, Middle Europe / Central Europe
COVERS: Austria, Belgium, Germany, Croatia, Denmark, Italy,
Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Netherlands, San Marino, Switzerland,
Slovenia, Czech Republic, Vatican City

DVD3, Eastern Europe
COVERS: Bulgaria, Belarus, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, Greece,
Hungary, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sweden, Slovakia

Perfect! That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks!

Having it over 3 DVD's makes far more sense

Unfortunatly I couldnt tell you for sure as I upgraded my CCC to CIC about a week before the 2015 CCC maps were released.

I dont think they will have speedcams on these DVD's as the 2014 ones I downloaded last year didnt, however you could check that thread and maybe post the question there to see if anyone who has already downloaded and used it knows the answer.

Sorry I didnt spot the bit about which version either.

If OP wants the Business version then they will need to stick to the 2014 maps for now as I dont think the 2015 ones are on the other thread yet..

Same thing applys though with regards to downloading and burning the DVDs but use the links in this thread:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=893113

Just click on the link "Europe_Business_2014" and that should take you to the torrent link...

Ahh yeah, in my excitement there I didn't spot that was for Professional rather than Business.

That one you've linked is the one I've downloaded, but it's only 2 rather than 3 DVDs. It's the ISO for the first one which is too big to fit on one disc. I'm guessing I could burn it to a dual layer disc, but is the CCC system going to be able to read that? Do you not need a special type of player to read such discs?

It should do... best, cheapest, and fastest option is to just give it a go and see.

I have seen some other posts that ask the same question about dual layer disc's with CCC systems and the answer seems to be if it doesnt read then you need to update the firmware on the system.
