Zaino'd Paint Difficult to Clean?

Hi all,

I painstakingly treated my Alpine White F10 M5 with the Zaino multi-step system (clay bar + Z-AIO + Z-5 with Z-6 between and as a final coat). Since then I would say the car has been reasonably easy to wash clean, with the occasional difficult debris or bug. This morning I washed the car for the first time in several weeks (maybe even months) because it's the first pretty and warm day we've had in a while (if you can say we have cold in Austin), and have a residue remaining on the back of the car (trunk lid and bumper) that looks like faint black water spots. They were much heavier and one swipe with a soaped up hand mitt removed a lot of the black coloring, but the spots remain and multiple passes with the mitt, even with aggressive pressure will not diminish them. It's almost as if they are embedded in the layer of polish.

Any thoughts in general on removal of these spots?

Any comments on Zaino? We used Zaino on our 2006 Mustang with good results. Different color (red) and different paint though...

I can't comment specifically to the Zaino aspect, but I would try a clay bar if you haven't already.

I was afraid it might take clay bar to get this stuff off, but man I sure hate to have to do that and then redo the paint treatment again...

Follow up. I called Zaino and while on the phone they had me hit the soiled area with a bit of Z-5 polished. Knocked the goop right off. Sweet! I wanted to put another layer of Z-5 on there anyway, so here I go...

Switch to Adams... You'll never look back. I used Zaino for over 10 years. Great stuff. Adams is just better...and a better company and community as well.

Just my .02.

Hmm. Is Adams compatible with Zaino or would I need to strip the Zaino first?

I suppose since I've already clay bar'd the whole thing, a wash with Dawn wouldn't be too difficult...
