Hey fellers

I keep reading a lot of posts here and seeing some terms that I can't understand and if someone can shed some light on them I would be greatfull

1- per lci or lce lights ( what are they what is the diff)

2- wall nut balsting ( what is it , why would you do it and where is done?)

3- the word vanous ( what is that?)

1. LCI stands for "Life Cycle Improvements". It is like a face lift for all models where they change bumper and light styling. For e90 the LCI years started 2009 onwards. For lights you will notice the lack of reflectors inside the headlights and the LED taillights for all LCI models.

2. Walnut blasting cleans the disgusting carbon build up at the intake ports which causes idle and performance issues. Mainly occurs in 335's.

3. Vanos is to BMW like i-Vtec to Honda. However, Vanos is much smother and almost unnoticeable. Depending on your throttle input and engine RPMs, the Vanos system adjusts intake and exhaust cam timing to produce the most efficient combustion.

LCI is a face lift that BMW did in the middle of the e90 series of cars. They changed the body and the heads/tails to make a more visually appealing car.

Walnut blasting cleans the carbon buildup in the engine. It's a really common issue with the 330 and 335 if i remember right. Carbon buildup creates problems at idle speeds.

Vanos is a performance enhancing system. I'm not super familiar with it, but a quick google search would bring you up to speed I'm sure.
