It's like a bad breakup...

Well... today is the day I have moved on from my beloved 2007 335i. I had her for three years and loved every second of it. But I've moved on.

All in all, the car was getting too expensive to maintain (with repairs as it was aging) and I got to the point that I decided it wasn't worth it anymore.

Not to mention my replacement vehicle... never would've saw myself making this move. After looking into newer F30s, Audi's, and even some "normal" cars, I decided on a Chrysler- the new Chrysler 200S. Beautiful car, very impressed.

Someday I'll be looking to get another as a second car. One day.

P.S. Shameless Plug: I'll be selling a ton of mods, PM me if interested (Angel Eyes, Black lines, JB4, Euro headlights, etc)

Good luck with your new car, man. I certainly know about maintenance headaches (07 here as well).

Good luck. Must have been tough to let it go but we all need to when it's the right thing financially. Enjoy the new car.

Man, a 335i to a Chrysler 200. That's a...unique...change! Good luck with the new ride.

I think the new 200 is actually a really good-looking sedan. The pictures weren't too convincing (though not many are) but I've seen a few of them on the road/in person and it's actually eye-catching!

Everyone has their reasons for their car choices and I have no reason to doubt yours. Congrats on the new purchase! Best wishes, and enjoy!

We all do things that are best for our current situations. I rent cars all the time when I travel and although I lease a new Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland it's my first and last Chrysler product. Cheap shit.

But from a practical standpoint you could do worse as the 200 got great reviews.

Tough to let the crazy psycho woman go but you are going to miss her.

Chryslers of the past were complete garbage, maybe under Fiat ownership they got a bit better, but then I don't think Fiat is any better.

I do like the way the new 200's look. Interested to hear how it compares to the BMW.

Thanks, yes there were some headaches involved

Ohh yeah.. I was way attached to that car. After all my mods, repairs, maintenance I did myself. But yes, I finally did reach that point - the ABS module/pump failure was what did it. I expected to keep the car well over 100K but at 81K with all the various failures, just wasn't ready to keep it for that long.

Came with Mopar's unlimited mileage/year bumper-to bumper warranty. No worries.

There's definitely not-so-subtle differences. The power is very similar - my V6 puts out 295HP coupled with AWD. The tranny is okay but I'm coming from a manual. It's a bigger car and it feels like a much bigger car - not nearly as "connected to the road" and nimble as the Bimmer but I expected that.

Ultimately it came down to what I could get for the price. Is it a BMW? Absolutely not. But being brand new with all the features, I'd pay 50K+ for those same features in a new BMW and I got it for nearly half that.

I had to answer the question - Does the BMW badge and higher handling performance worth an extra 20K? No.

For those of you interested in the mods, the JB4 is gathering the most interest. I'll be getting back to you soon. Still looking to sell:

- OEM Blacklines
- OEM Euro-headlights (get rid of those nasty ambers! See photo below)
- JB4
- Performance Shift Knob (MT)
- LUX Angel Eyes 5.1

Here are some quick photos of the new ride:

And of the old Bimmer:

Jesus Christ let the guy be happy!

I think that car looks beautiful Marshall, and it's in a beautiful shade of blue as well!

The 200 and 300s aren't exactly the worst nightmare of the Chrysler fleet, so relax and enjoy your ride!

Stick around here Marshall- it was fun having you on the boards for all this time.

I like cloth seats. I wish cloth was still available on a non-M BMW.

C'mon... enough with the rental jokes now. It's a 2015! Nor is it a late 2000's Cobalt!

Yeah they're not too bad. Leather-cloth combo.
