are these things to small?

Hey guys, I'm looking at putting a set of 17x9.5 SR02 on my 09 bmw 328 x-drive... I plan on doing some springs on the eibach pro-kit (keeping stock shocks/struts for as long as possible which is probably not long) but i want to get rid of some of the wheel gap that i have with my stock 16s. I was wondering if 17s would be to small and look awkward.. I ran 18x7.5 enkei on my previous car (08 lancer gts) and i know that it is a completely different car with a completely different suspension but it seemed like the 18s filled up the wheel wells nicely. Unfortunetly they only make these wheels in 17s. Please give me some input and pictures would also be greatly appreciated!

Is it a sedan? If so, I have 189's on my e93, and I think they look amazing on the sedans. If it's a coupe, I have an e92 with 230's, and I think they look great on the coupe. Initially, I was gonna put some 230's on my vert, but I really like how the car sits on the 189's.

Just realized your going for aftermarket. Sorry.

But I personally think 17's are to small.
