Car gone bang new engine needed

Hi guys my friend has a 330d he was advised to check the oil breather as they are known for blocking up he decided to upgrade the breather pipe with one that Andrew page supply. He fitted it yesterday morning set off from work did no more than 3 miles and the car puffed a load of smoke reved like mad and went bang. His turbo is fine he has checked that a little side ways play but he is certain it's fine. He believes the modified breather has sucked oil through and the engines run on it causing this issue. Does anyone know anything about these that Andrew page supply or had any similar issues
Any help asap would be good
Thanks
Ryan

I ddon'tthink anyone buys from Andrew page, personally I only use genuine parts. Seams odd that the breather would allow so much oil through for the engine to rev on it!
Turbo failure would defiantly do it. So has the car thrown a rod or seized?

See everyone is saying turbo but he's 100 percent certain the turbo is fine he's had it all stripped down and checked. Literally said he had a bit of power loss looked in back window and was full of smoke next thing he ticked accelerator and its just revved it's nuts off and lost all power

I assume it don't run? I would honestly be suprised if a breather could supply that amount of oil to run on it... Unless the new breather just lets oil through? I.e the turbo has sucked it through? If so I would think Andrew page is liable for supplying faulty parts?

I think then that Andrew page should be fixing it due to faulty parts
