e92 335d swirl flap removal

So this morning popped over to PMW in Chelmsford and purchased myself 6 x 32mm swirl blanks drove straight to my friend who is very familiar with the 335d engines and let him loose on my inlet manifold to remove these ba***rd flaps lol.
All in all it went very well no hiccups, replacing both vacuum boost pipes and checking over the EGR as well for gunk build up

What is this exactly? Im confused. The 335i has flaps in the intake manifold?

Did you notice the "d" appended to the "335"? It's a diesel...

May I ask why you believe that removing them is better? Your mileage is probably going to go down...

this will explain fully why i decided to blank them off.

car is running no different to how it was before. it's no noisier than before and fuel consumption havent been affected from what i can tell, i guess the more the car is driven i will be able to update you on this.
