Remove and Installing Tail lights (inner and outer) on E92?

Hey guys,

What is involved in removing and installing the inner tail lights (the ones on the trunk lid itself) on an E92 coupe? Does the carpet need to be pulled down?

I know the outers are simple; you remove the cover in the trunk and it's held on my 3 or 4 8mm nuts.

Yes the carpet does need to be pulled because there is one plastic wing nut assembly holding each housing in.

I did that with my E46's tail lights and didn't bother to find the nut, just tightened the hell out of the others, lol.

lol it's not too bad bro. It literally will take you no more than 5 minutes to remove carpet on one side.

Got these bad boys on! Some of those trunk liner clips were a pain in the ass, but so worth it.

How was it to install outside tails?(big ones).
I'm having trouble centering them. If I get one side right, other side is little bit off. Played with fitment for 20 minutes and gave up after sun went down.

Just gotta keep going at it, I managed to get the fitment perfect. You have to tighten one nut at a time before moving on to the next one, and push/align it from the outside with your free hand.

Those turn signals are badass.

Are they supposed to blink like that? Or did they not come with the harness?
