Collapsible 4 post Jack Stands
Thought I saw a thread a little while back wondering about getting a full hydraulic lift installed in their garage or something. This might be old but thought I'd share to the public as this would greatly benefit me in saving time and back-aches compared to traditional stands or jacking up just one side with a lift.
Favorite Part is the extra raise after the car is initially on the stand. http://jalopnik.com/these-awesome-ja...-wo-1680463970

I tried these but it didn't make my winter tire swap go any easier...

Maybe because the tire was sitting on the post...

It would be nice if you could drive the car onto the stands, then jack it up. Having to go around twice to jack the car up seems silly.

Something like these but where you can drive on, remove the center section on each side, and use a hydraulic pump to raise all four at the same time. Perfect! |

Couldn't you just build up some cribbing using 2x4. They would be at a fixed height. I believe build cost would be under $75 for all four.
Or buy "race ramps", probably $250 for a set of four. Last edited by critical05; 01-21-2015 at 02:34 PM.. |
