Sway bar info

hey - are there any good threads with sway bar reviews? I searched but couldn't find any. Even with the dinan spring set the body roll is a bit too much for me. I'd appreciate any recos y'all have for brands and quick info on the install process cuz I'm noob.

I believe much of the sway bar options are still in the works. I have the prototype bar from Hotchkis and I can personally say it's awesome! No idea on when they may release it though.

Hotchkis will be using one of my 228s to do some testing at willow springs race track next Thursday. I'll report back in here to give you guys some feedback on how the sway bars and adjustable end links feel in comparison to stock.

Sorry guys... been really swamped with work lately. I did get a chance to drive my stock 228i with sway bars and compare it to my other 228i with full bolt ons and H&R lowering springs around the track and I have to say that the one with sway bars felt so much better and predictable in terms of cornering than the one with lowering springs. The car feels really well balanced now around every corner and there is no more sway/ mushy steering feeling even when driving around the town.

Here is a quick video I threw together of the slalom testing:

They are not available yet. I believe the Hotchkis team is still finalizing the final details. I believe they will be available within the next month or two.

I emailed Hotchkis on Friday about M235i front sway availability. Haven't heard back yet though, hoping for something soon. Auto-x season is getting really close for me.

I have been in contact with Birds in the UK as another member here pointed me in their direction. They have some interesting packages which I will probably end up going with in a few months time. The options include:

-B2 Dynamics Package 1 (Anti Roll Bars & Quaife LSD)
-B2 Dynamics Package 2 (Anti Roll Bars, Springs & Quaife LSD)

The B2 Dynamics Package 3 is under development from my understanding, but will be the prior package with the addition of new shocks and springs, non adjustable. I was curious about this setup but basically the argument was that this would allow them to dial in the setup to be ideal without offering you the opportunity to ruin it essentially. The argument was that was coilovers being so adjustable dialing them in to the perfect setup would be very difficult and for people who don't track their cars much and don't mind the lack of adaptability this would be a cheaper and more appropriate option.

I am planning on going with package 1 in a few months like i said but with the possibility of addition suspension later on. Will let you guys know then how that goes. Also as a reference there is a member with this package on his M135i with H and R springs and he swears by them. That with the responsiveness of Bird and the reviews I have read are really pushing me in that direction.

Just to update everyone. Sent email to H&R last week. Unfortunately, they are still working on the anti-roll bar. They said it may take a few more weeks. Keep y'all posted.
