Time for new brake pads

So it is time for new brake pads. What do you all recommend for my 2009 335i? I was thinking these: Akebono Euro Ceramic Pads (Premium)

Garage List
The akebono pads are pretty good, almost the same performance as OEM pads and virtually no dust. I'd recommend them, just remember to change both the front and rear.

I have akebonos currently and while they are good I was disappointed with the lack of initial bite that BMW brakes are known for. If I had to do it again I'd go OEM.

Anyone considering the z4is rotor upgrade for the fronts? Mine now shows i have 390 miles remaining... How far negative can i go before i really start to do damage?

FWIW - i'm on original front rotors and original front pads with 99k miles on the clock (car has never had a brake job done yet) fluids r due in november

I went with Hawk PC (performance ceramic) and am very pleased. Affordable, low dust, no noise, and good brake performance. And they come with new wear sensors!

If your get those pads they are cheaper at Advance Auto Parts. They usually have coupons making it less expensive than Tirerack by quite a bit

Do you have to replace the rears at the same time? My e93 has two different mileages for front and rear.

If you replace with OEM pads then no. If you go with something different, you should replace all the pads at once to maintain the front/rear brake bias, so that one end isn't braking more than it's supposed to.
