Replaced fob battery, still warning?

Hey guys/gals,

I replaced the battery in my Comfort Access fob the other day because I was getting the battery warning. Now, I still get the warning every couple of times I start the car (perhaps one in three).

Ideas?

Have you put the key in the slot & restarted the car with it in the slot?

If you have the same issue with your other fob, the car battery may be on its way out - normal after 5 years.

I have not used the slot - I have Comfort Access so I never bother. I'll give that a shot this afternoon.

I have a trickle charger that I'll be using to charge my battery, since it is probably the original (I certainly haven't changed it).
