Aesthetic Improvements

Gents,

This is my first M car and I am very pleased with it. I've seen some of the little tweaks/improvements through black kidney, grill replacements etc and I think I'd like to invest in some of those to give it a bit more 'BITE'.

I don't like the carbon fibre 'spoiler' - I actually saw another M4 with it and thought it was awful looking!

Anyways - I currently have a Mineral White M4 and nothing changed, except to the black alloys, so in short I guess my question is where is the best priced placed in the UK to pick up some little goodies?

I have a MW M4 also.

I got the F32 Black grills from eBay for £100 and changed the inside slats and installed myself. I am going to paint the side gills gloss black and that's all I have done so far.

Have spacers to be fitted this weekend!

Hi just been looking at sring options etc that are in this site , I assume you are based in UK , what spacers have you gone for ? Are you going to lower the car or have you already done this ?

KW HAS is £599 and seems to be best option as you can adjust ride height and retain the OME adaptive suspension .

Make an offer to get a bit less or ask your local garage for good deal on them. Was a bit tricky to do but just read all the DIY's on this forum and take your time with the clips and you will be fine

I have just bought 15mm Bimecc Spacers all round and will be lowering on H&R springs soon which are about £200

I always find my local BMW performance specialist reasonable priced, he usually will either beat or price match online prices. The only downside is he has no online shop.

Best prices are via phone or email.

If you're looking for mods/suspension it maybe worth speaking with them about pricing. They do deal in Eibach, H&R, Bilstein etc.

Definitely do the genuine gloss black grills.

Also a black or carbon fiber diffuser as it's a huge improvement over the colour matched diffuser!

Apart from those just the silver indicator bulbs to get rid of that orange glow in the reflectors (if you have xenons) and maybe carbon wing mirror covers, that's all i'd do to an M3/4 personally.

You're only after the gloss black outer parts of each grill. You have the gloss black m car specific double slats inners on your cars current grills. When your new bits arrive you will need to put the new outers onto the slats.

I am thinking of simply having my diffuser painted gloss black and having the exhaust tips powder coated gloss black . Think this will give me the change in look at a far less price . Don't get me wrong though the CB rear rear diffusers look the DB's but I will look at this when I consider what if anything I wnat to do with the exhaust .

They're definitely the correct shape! I'm just trusting Chris' opinion that the inners can be swapped though.

Warren,
Thats way out buddy. I changed my front grilles last week to the black 4 series coupe ones, and switched the outer rims etc, they were about £100 from BMW without trying for discount. The side grilles are on back order in Germany, and we wont see any until end of Feb, but i think they are around £39 a side, and look a doddle to fit as well, so when mine arrive i will have fitted the lot with genuine BMW parts for less then £200.
