Austin Yellow Metallic touch-up paint

So far I am really happy with my 180 deg turn in switching from AW to AY.

Tons of compliments, thumbs up, friends going gaaa-gaaa, even my wife and kids love it!

Happy to find out it really hides the dust that is the usual problem where I live.

Driving on my local streets with "cinders" used for ice management has cost me a few small chips.

To my dismay, the dealership where I purchased the car told me there is no touch up paint......

Really?

Any one have any luck with this?

Thanks much. Got on their site - they don't have it as a drop down, although they have YMB and SO. I'll request the color.

I believe BMW will sell the touch up color soon. Or bring it back to dealer and have them fix it.

spoke with dr color chip. they don't have a match yet. suggested an older saab color........ a little strange.

hopefully in time. i getting a few small chips on my rear fender flares from the winter cinders

AY here too. I went with www.paintscratch.com for B67. They have it. In transit now. Can't say anything about match yet nor the quality but they can provide. No endorsement - just FYI. Good luck. I will report back once I try it.

Similar story here - started off with Tanzanite Blue. Was told it was going to be an extra month or more (at first they said it couldn't be gotten!) and finally settled on AY. Settled is the right word and I went back and forth a bit, but the more I see it the more I like it, in part because so many have said it's the ugliest car color they ever saw. Got to be something there.

You are going to love AY....IMO there are no pics that really capture how this color pops...It looks 1000 times better in person.

I have AY and I now have Dr. ColorChip. Has anybody used Dr. ColorChip's Austin Yellow yet? How accurate is it?

Dunno about AY, but I've used it on 2 of my cars in other colors and the paint match is perfect. I'd use it without even thinking twice, so much better than the OEM kit IMHO.

I want to bump this thread, I noticed BMW still doesn't have any AY touch up paint. Can anyone provide feedback to the other options?

bad news: same here, no TzB touch up paint from BMW.
good news: Dr ColorChip has TzB, I've used it and it matches just fine

I've just joined "the club" of people who discovered that for some unknown, bizarre reason BMW USA still does not sell Austin Yellow touch-up paint...

I have tried Dr.ColorChip which I had a decent experience before (my 2013 bimmer in red), but AY they provide does NOT match - it comes rather greenish...

Anyone successful finding matching AY touch up paint?
