M3 -vs- Caddy CTS-V?
Hiya, I was perusing thru and saw a M3 -vs- GT-R thread and found it interesting. I currently own a E90 330i (yeah, before the 335i came out) and a Infiniti super charged G35 Coupe. I love both cars alot and am thinking about my next ride (seriously leaning tward the GT-R)
I was curious what people here are thinking about the upcoming 550hp CTS-V? Close to same cost as the M3 and 4 dr. Here is the link. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/08/d...d-with-550-hp/ I don't think there is any complaining about this interior. Here are some pics of the new CTS coupe which will also be avail in the V series as well. |

I dont know if you're going to get alot of replies, as the CTSV threads were popular about 10 days ago.
I think the car looks pretty good. Of course, the car will be heavier than an M3, but the car is closer to the 5series in dimensions. The interior is rediculous. It may be the nicest interior in the price range (of course, i'm only able to judge by the pictures). |

I saw one last week when I was having my Saab serviced....I went over and took a good long look at it. While impressive looking, it seemed huge to me. Much bigger then I thought it would be. I also thought it looked a bit on the "boxy" side. I believe it was stickered at $103,000!!

I should have asked about it, but I was only in there a few minutes. I don't even have the Saab anymore, since later that same day I picked up my new Volvo s60.

don't like the looks of it. but from what i've seen from the last one, it isn't a terrible performer.
i'd like some solid proof and reviews before i take it over the almighty M3 |

If the automatic transmission is just that, a slush box, then no I won't get it. But if the transmission is as fast as the ZF in my 335i or the old SMGII then yes, this is may very well be my next car not a e92M3.

The CTS is the size of a 5 series, so the V edition is really an M5 competitor but I have a feeling it's price tag may be closer to the M3 than the M5.
