2012 E91 trailer hitch same as 2011?
Not an F31, but the last (technically) model year of the E91 (I believe...stateside).
- When I search on etrailer/curt hitch website, the suggested trailer hitch for a "2012 3-series" is indicated as fitting a sedan with no mention of a wagon. - When I search the forums, the only wagon+hitch info I can find is for earlier years and they suggest a different hitch model #. - Finally, on etrailer/curt hitch, if I choose "2011" (not my car's model year), I am presented with a bunch more options than if I choose 2012. Those options tend to include the hitch model # suggested by the forums. (Either 117711 or 117713.) Soooo....can anyone weigh in on this? I need to add a hitch and I'm not in the market for the execu-hitch/invisihitch. I'd like to order it and do it myself, but want to be sure of the correct hitch model # before I get too deep into it all. Thanks in advance. |

And now with the hitch installed, I can confirm - 100% the same as even the 2007 pictured in the VERY helpful etrailer video detailing the install. I managed even to get the hitch put on without having to remove the bumper. A long handle and a ratcheting crescent are keys to finishing the install without removing the bumper, fyi.
