Stock M235i Muffler on 228i

I want to install a stock M235i muffler on my 228i M-Sport mostly for the improved appearance. I've already acquired a stock M235i rear diffuser. Has anyone done this yet? M235i muffler inlet pipe diameter vs. the 228i? Different hanging points etc.? Any insight would be appreciated.

Will appreciate the feedback if someone who did the same for 220i. I got now one from 235i and want to install it. Assume that pipe is 80mm on 235i but not sure what is the pipe on 220i? 60mm? Do I need to get a connection pipe or kind of adapter?

I got 235i Muffler on mine 220i today. Old one was cutted off, connecting tip from 60mm to 80mm was made and with instep shell like Plug&Play together fixed. The flaps always remains open. It looks now exactly how I wanted and how it should to look like. Sound has not changed a lot as expected, anyhow from 1500 up to 3000 rmp it has become noticeably deeper. For those who want to have better louder sound for 220i it is no good choice I think, muffler deleting is better one. Enclosed some photos.
