Top View Camera Retrofit?
Just like the title says...
Has anyone done a retrofit of the Top View cameras? I had ordered a M3 with them as part of the drivers assist package but ended up jumping into a M4 that was configured the same except the drive assist package. The only thing that I would really like out of that package is the top view cameras. My X5 had them and I absolutely loved them. I don't care about the side view cameras, so I don't think I would need the button on the center console, as the top view is activated via a push of the i-drive knob once the the PDC/Rear camera is activated. I'm gonna start by looking at Realoem.com for part numbers for the cameras.

If your X5 had the camera in the very front of the car(like between kidney grills)You will be disappointed in the top view on F8x platform vs an X5. The F8x doesnt have that camera and its quite a bit different from the X5. My spouse has an X4 with the cameras and that top view is a true top view with 360 vision around the car. See attached pic for the F8x view.

This is from an X6 but they are identical. The green lines show you where the front tires will go.. its pretty cool in comparison to F8x/F3x.
