A Week into owning my EBII 430d. It hasn't stopped raining!

Going from Quattro to S-Drive has been a learning... Little bit squirmy in the wet!

So here is my car, loving it so far. Absolutely loving it.

My first BMW and certainly well worth the wait.

Here is a couple of pictures. I especially like the bi-colour wheels in combination with the blue callipers. After having black cars since 2010 I love having a bright colour.

I have to say, the start stop cruise control is perhaps my favourite part of the car. Such a clever and well thought out piece of engineering. So glad I got it.

That and the iDrive... Wow.

Thanks. I've had them sat in the garage for two months waiting to go on!

lovely she is a beaut. The bicolour 19's are prob the best alloys I've seen. The 4 series is a great looking car. Congrats!

Hopefully you won't miss petrol too much, I did for a bit after a 335i now I find the torque wave very nice indeed. Just a different delivery of performance but a more relaxed one in a sense you don't have to rev high to get at it.

I bought them from eBay, the sellers name is carlab-design-tuning. They are based in Israel however I bought them by searching on eBay.de. I find the German eBay site has lots of unique and high quality parts for BMW/Audi that we don't get on eBay.co.uk

The quality of these grills and also the spoiler I bought are both fantastic. Absolutely spot on for finish and fitment.

I'm actually enjoying the change in pace. My S5 after being tuned was like the car equivalent of a thoroughbred horse, noisy, revvy and far too tempting to press the hyper-speed pedal!

I feel I got the choice of 3.0d right, enough torque to put a grin on my face and enough MPG to put some money back in my wallet. 220 miles average in the S5 over 3 years hurts!

Some more pictures now it's stopped raining. I spent 4hrs detailing it yesterday starting with a snow foam, whole car gone over with my DA machine with a medium cut, then a light cut, a sealant and then finally a hand wax.

Already got a stone chip on the bonnet and the o/s light..

Almost everything.

Love (in no particular order);

iDrive
The way it looks, colour especially
The way the brakes and disks look
The way the brakes and disks stop it!
Stop-start cruise
The suspension - beautiful at soaking up our crappy roads
The torque from a diesel engine

Not impressed:

Cabin materials aren't as good as expected
Swirl marks from dealer!
Arch gap (resolution on the horizon)

I don't see a M4 badge.... Fair game imo!

Very pretty. Might have to hunt out some black grilles.

Know about the rain, not stopped since I got my GC. It's irritating!
