Carbon wing mirror covers

Hi has anyone tried the stick up type as opposed to the real replacements? I don't really want to buy the expensive BMW ones anybody bought any decent oem replacement covers?

What's the quality like and how hard are they to fit?

Quality still looks good after 2 months, but obviously i don't know yet how they'll stand up to a lot of hot sunshine.

Easy to fit, just pop the mirror glass out with a plastic tool, then release the 3 clips.

Do you suspect they might suffer in the sunlight? Was thinking about these myself but sounds concerning if they are likely to become damaged by the sun, although I haven't noticed any problems with the spoiler so far

I don't suspect they will but I just can't guarantee they won't, the seller said they won't.

Have never modded a car and doubt I will this time but seriously, simply stick a plastic tool in and behind the electric mirror to prise off? Doesn't damage the mechanism? And presumably just push the mirror back on afterwards?

Love the look but lack the confidence.

Trust me it's how the glass is meant to come out, has been the same on all BMW's back at least as far as E30's
